Blogfests!

Today I’m just going to mention a couple of blogfests that I’ll be taking part in over the next few weeks.
First, there’s the What If? Fairytale Madness blogfest, which I got really excited about when I found it! This is taking place on August 13-17th, and the object is to pick one of your favourite fairytales and ask “What if?” You then have to write a scene from this fairytale in less than 300 words, based on which category you choose. There are four categories to choose from, and I chose Best Tragedy, because I like tragedies!
The next blogfest I’m entering is Write Club, which begins on July 30th. I love the idea of this blogfest, and I love the book that it’s based on! I don’t think I’ll get very far in it, but it’ll be good for my writing experience.
I’m also doing the August Camp NaNoWriMo, and I can’t believe it’s only a week away! I have no idea how far I’ll get in it, but I’ll definitely try my best. I haven’t done as much preparation as I wanted, but I don’t mind too much. Ideas tend to come to me while I’m writing, so I won’t know where my story’s going until I start writing it.
So there we have it, I have a busy few weeks coming up! I’m looking forward to getting a lot more experience with my writing, though. :)

  9. Hi, I found your blog via Laura's at Stranger Than Writing and you mentioned you were doing NaNo, so I thought I'd pop over and say hi.

Turns out we have a fair bit in common, too. I'm also from England, and as well as Camp NaNo I'm participating in the "What If?" blogfest and WRiTE Club.

What are you writing for NaNo? And do you want to be cabin buddies?

Good luck with all your writing, I'll be interested to hear all about it. :D
