Celebrate the Small Things

Image
Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain . The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small. Here's what I'm celebrating this week: - The story planning is still going well - I have a long way to go before I'm ready to start writing, but I've got tonnes of notes.  - The weather this week has been glorious - lovely and warm and sunny. I'm a winter girl at heart, but I must admit I do like when the weather starts to get warmer.

This week I'm celebrating: - Story planning is still going well - I haven't been this excited about an idea in a long time! Other things are falling by the wayside, though - I still haven't nailed down my A - Z theme, or started on my next piece for WEP.  - I've started teaching myself to play the piano this week - I've always wanted to learn. I started teaching myself a couple of years ago but then I moved, so it got forgotten. Since I've had a lot more free time lately because of my new job, I thought what better time to learn? So I've been watching You-tube videos to try to teach myself. There's nothing like learning a new skill. - I've just changed my blog look for the first time in a good couple of years - let me know what you think! It still needs some work, it wa

Here's what I'm celebrating this week: - I had a fantastic birthday weekend in York with my mum. We went for a lovely meal on Saturday night and spent far too much money shopping. It was a successful trip; over the last week I've acquired 12 new books (yay!) and I got given a voucher for my birthday for even more books, so I'm a happy girl. - I've been off work this week, which has been nice. It's been my first proper break since I went to Greece last August. - The ideas are still flowing for the story idea I came up with last week.  What are you celebrating this week?

Here's what I'm celebrating this week: - Stories, in any shape or form, whether it's anime (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) , machinima (Red vs Blue), novels, or anything else. There's just nothing better than a good story. I've been getting really sucked into stories lately, and it's just fantastic.  - I had an idea for a novel the other day (probably because of all the amazing stories I've been absorbing) - there's nothing better than when you've had that spark of an idea, and the ideas just keep flowing.  - It's my mum's birthday on Sunday, and mine on Monday, so we're going to York for the weekend, then I've got the week off work. I'm super excited!

Goals for March

I'm very pleased with how I did on my February goals - two out of three isn't bad at all! - Read 4 books -  I've got so much more time to read now, which is just fantastic. I've also just started listening to audio books on the way to and from work (an hour a day) which is an interesting experience. I do prefer reading books the traditional way, but it is great that I can listen to a story while doing other things. - Put up at least 2 blog posts a week - This one I didn't quite manage, although I think I did pretty well! I let myself down last week, as I didn't post anything at all - I completely missed IWSG and Celebrate the Small Things. I have posted more in February than the previous months, though, so that has to count for something. - Write my story for WEP -  Not only did I get my WEP story written, but I got runner up for it! I was super happy (and surprised) when I found out. If you haven't had a chance to read it yet, you can find it here .
