Celebrate the Small Things
Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.
This week I'm celebrating:
- Overtime at work. I've been struggling with money a little lately, but thankfully I've managed to pick up some overtime at work. It means working 6 days a week, but it'll be worth it when I get paid.
- A lovely day out shopping with my mum on Wednesday. She bought me a dress and three new books (which I am rather more excited about than the dress, because books = happiness). I got Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell (I'm reading Eleanor and Park right now, and I love it), Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green, and City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare.
Glad you'll be getting extra money in the next paycheck!
ReplyDeleteI love your attitude about books! I feel the same. :) Books = happiness.
ReplyDeleteGlad you have the overtime you need and glad you had fun with your mum.
Happy weekend and happy writing!
I've been wanting to read Will Grayson, Will Grayson. Just haven't had the chance yet. Books do equal happiness, and there's so many great ones to choose from!
ReplyDeleteI just realized that today is the nine year anniversary of the day that my husband first kissed me. Plus it's Friday the 13th, and we first met on a Friday the 13th. I might have to whip up a little surprise for him.
Have a great weekend!
Where would we be without our mum! Well done on getting the overtime, but don't work too hard. Have a good weekend, Laura.
ReplyDeleteNothing better than good books, yay for you!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got the hours you needed and the books you wanted.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are getting some extra money with overtime! I'm in the same place there. I haven't read Will Grayson, Will Grayson but I really want to.
ReplyDeleteExtra cash always comes in handy! Happy reading to you :)
ReplyDeleteHave a great payday, whenever that may be :-) New books are always something to celebrate!
ReplyDeleteLots of great things to celebrate, Laura. I'm sure your dress is lovely and you'll enjoy your new books as well as the extra money you earned. Good job!
ReplyDeleteFantastic things to celebrate! I loved Fangirl and Will Grayson, Will Grayson. You're going to adore them!
ReplyDeleteYes, be very thankful for OT! Nothing's worse than being salaried, staying extra hours, and knowing you're there for free.
ReplyDeleteFangirl--I've seen a lot on that one lately! Glad you were able to pick up some overtime, but sorry you're having to work so hard. :-(
ReplyDeleteJust passing to say Hello Miss Laura. . . . . . . and . . . . . . . .NO NO NO you must write not read. . . . OK I know you like reading . . . .
