What's Up Wednesday

What’s Up Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Erin L Funk and Jaime Morrow, and the idea is to let other bloggers know where you are with any writing and reading goals you may have.

1. What I'm reading

I just finished reading Allegiant last night. I was reading it in bed, and by the time I was done my pillow was soaked! The ending was so sad, but I kind of expected it at the same time.
I just started reading The Faerie Guardian, which I've had on my kindle for a long time but I've only just gotten around to reading. I'm about three chapters in, and enjoying it immensely so far.

2. What I'm writing

I'm working hard on my NaNo novel, and it's going quite well so far - more on that on my IWSG post later!

3. What else I've been up to

I've mostly been getting ready for the big move (mentioned in my Celebrate post on Friday), which has involved letting work know - a lot of colleagues seem quite sad to see me go, which is nice! My mum and I have also been working out exactly what we need to do before we go, what we need to take and basically starting to organise everything. It's going to be a really busy month, but it'll be worth it in the end.

4. What inspires me right now

My NaNo novel is inspiring me a lot - it's going really well, and the story is really good so far (in my opinion!) I'm also inspired by all of the blogs I've been reading, especially concerning NaNo - the great thing about it is seeing how well other people are doing really motivates you to try as hard as you possibly can. I'm very motivated right now!

  6. i haven't read Allegiant yet, but I'm nervous about it. Glad your NaNo novel is inspiring you! It makes the process that much easier (not that it's ever really easy). Good luck with you big move!

  7. Moving and NaNo-ing? Wow, you're a superhero, Laura! I hope you have all the time you need to meet your NaNo goals. I agree with you that ALLEGIANT's ending is sad, but not really shocking. I don't know that I expected Veronica to go there, but when she did, I thought it a gutsy move, but not inappropriate.

I hope you have a really productive writing week--especially with NaNo. Congratulations for the progress you've made so far--keep it up!! :D

  8. All these people moving!! Good luck!

And I am really motivated by NaNo as well. I'm not even actually participating, but seeing so many people churn out words at this speed is totally inspiring for the rewrites/revisions I'm doing.
