Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

This week I'm celebrating:

- I had a day off yesterday and I spent the day tidying the house; it looks great now. It's nice to have a tidy house; now I just need to keep it tidy!

- I made a banana loaf on Tuesday and it's so good! I like to eat it spread with Nutella, banana and chocolate go so well together!

- My boyfriend took me out for a surprise birthday meal on Sunday; we went to an Italian restaurant we'd never been to before, since we both love Italian, and it was delicious. We'll definitely be going there again!

  1. Awesome you had a good birthday mean. And the only way to keep the house clean is to stop living in it.

Banana loaf with the Nutella - I've got to try that. Thanks, Laura.

  7. What a nice surprise from your boyfriend and a great way to celebrate your birthday! I love a tidy house too, but I just don't have the strength to keep up with the tidal wave of spills, destruction, and disarray that is my husband - so the place is always a mess. Banana bread with Nutella! It doesn't get better than that! :)

  8. A tidy house is just asking to get dirty. That's why I never clean. ;-D

Now, fresh baked banana bread is something to celebrate, and of course the birthday surprise, but nothing can top Nutella. Mm mmmmm

  9. I like a tidy house too, but with two young sons and a partner who works out of the dining room, it's not easy to keep tidy. In fact, that's what my afternoon is going to be spent doing. Italian food is amazing and finding a new restaurant is always something to celebrate. If it's good...

  11. Sounds like a good week. :-)

I agree with you on the tidying. We had a (much needed) clear out in the spare bedroom yesterday and it makes me so happy going in there and not seeing junk all over the floor now!
