Goals for December

Is it really December already? I can't believe how fast November went. These are the goals I gave myself last month:

- Read 4 books - I only just managed this one, which means I'm at 45 out of my goal of 50 books for the year.

- Nanowrimo! - Done. I finished my 50000 words on the 25th of November, thank goodness. I can't wait to get started on editing in January.

- Get ready for moving, and move! - Phew, this was the hardest part of the last month, but it's all over now. We're all settled in our new house.

- Get started on Christmas shopping - One thing has stopped me from achieving this goal, and that's a lack of money. I'm going to have to wait until I get paid later this month - it's cutting it fine, but it'll get done.

Here are my goals for December:

- Read 5 books - I only have 5 more books to read to achieve my goal of 50 books for the year, so I'll be reading a lot this month, I think. That suits me just fine!

- See The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - I can't wait until this comes out - every time I see the trailer I just about die of excitement.

- Get my Christmas shopping done - Obviously, this is a priority. I have a lot of ideas for people, I just can't afford to buy them right now. Roll on payday!

  6. I'm excited for the second Hobbit movie too, simply because it has both Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberpatch in it.

  7. Hi, Laura,

Congrats on all your achievements. This is very inspiring. I had hope to read a book a month this year. I figured I'd start low an hopefully surpass my goal. HA! Didn't happen, I may have managed half that.

I know writer's are supposed to read, but I just don't have any spare time. I wish I did. Before I became a writer I read ALL the time. A few books a week. What happens when we start writing books. LOL.

Good luck with your December goals, I know you'll make it…

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!
