What's Up Wednesday
If you're looking for my IWSG post, you can find it here.
What’s Up Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Erin L Funk and Jaime Morrow, and the idea is to let other bloggers know where you are with any writing and reading goals you may have.
1. What I'm reading
I just finished reading The Faerie War by Rachel Morgan yesterday. I've really loved this series; I haven't been able to read it in the last couple of days, since I packed my Kindle away for the move and couldn't find it when we arrived here. I found it yesterday, and devoured the final book in a couple of hours.
Since I'm done moving, I'm going to go back to reading two books at once; one paperback, and one on my Kindle. For my Kindle book, I'm going to read Angelfall by Susan Ee. It's been on my to-read list for a while. For my paperback, I'm going to read Divergent again, because it's been a long time since I read it, and Allegiant kind of made me want to go back to the beginning.
2. What I'm writing
Just blog posts at the minute, although I'm hoping to start some short stories over the next couple of days - something to do before I start my NaNo edits in January.
3. What else I've been up to
Moving! We're all moved into our new house now; it's strange living somewhere different, but I think I'll get used to it in a few days. My mum and I have moved in with her boyfriend, so mostly we're trying to make sure we don't take over his house, but it's a little hard with all the boxes of stuff we have! We should get settled soon, though. I haven't started my new job yet, that's tomorrow and I'm very nervous!
It was the work Christmas party on Sunday, too, with the colleagues I just left behind, so it was nice to have one last night out with them all.

Christmas! It's my favourite time of year, and I can start to enjoy it properly now that NaNo and the move are over.
Life certainly sounds busy with you. Good luck with the new job, and I hope the move goes well :)
ReplyDeleteChristmas is my favorite time of the year too, although I'm starting to get a little stressed about shopping!
ReplyDeleteMoving can certainly be a pain - it sounds like your being very conscious of not taking over your mom's boyfriend's space, which is pretty awesome of you!
ReplyDeleteI rather like that cool relaxed just writing blog posts Miss Laura . . . . Phew, I am starting to run out of steam with mine, I need a new and brilliant angle for it.
ReplyDeleteYou can tell its Christmas when you start humming Christmas carols and point at gardening implements going Ho Ho Ho . . . . . .
Good luck with all your unpacking. Celebrating Christmas should be a great way to make your new house feel like home.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found your kindle. I'm currently reading a book an author offered me for free for a review. It's twice this fall that someone has found my blog or was recommended to it. I feel so accomplished. Enough about me, so you;re reading books, moved , plan to write short stories and...go skying? Teasing! Have fun Laura and thanks for the congrats.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with this Laura, gonna be good that you'll be able to spend your first Christmas in this new place soon, well done!
ReplyDeleteI read Angelfall last week and really liked it. Hope you enjoy it! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not reading anything right now except books on promoting and stuff. But I do want to read the entire Harry Potter series again before the New Year. I can do it!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on winning NaNo! I'm with you on re-reading DIVERGENT before reading ALLEGIANT. I'll be doing that this month too. Best of luck with the move!
