February Goals

Time for another goals post, I can't believe it's February already!

My goals for January were to:

Open a savings account – I've opened a savings account, and I even have some money in it! I'll be adding to it every time I get paid. It's nice to know that I have some money saved away, just in case.

Finish my two assignments well – I finished my two assignments, and we were told the other day that we've all done pretty well on them. I'll let you all know what I got when I get my marks back.

Write 1000 words a day – I was doing really well with this, up until a couple of weeks ago. Now I'm about 7000 words behind, but I'm slowly catching up!

Finish 4 books – I've finished three books so far, and am 61% through another, so I nearly made it.

Do some overtime – I've done enough overtime to ensure that I'm behind on my 1000 words a day challenge, so that's enough for me!

I think I did quite well on my January goals, overall. So, here are my goals for February:

Catch up on the 7000 words - It shouldn't be too hard for me to do this, I just need to have a few days where I write over 1000 words. I'm doing quite well at the minute, but something always comes up! Anyway, by March I want to be caught up.

Redesign my blog - I've been meaning to redesign for absolutely ages. I like how it looks now, but I've had it like this since I started blogging and I fancy a change. It's just finding the time to do it!

Read 4 more books - for my Goodreads challenge of reading 50 books this year. I figure 4 books a month is a good goal; there will be a couple of months where I'll read more than that, so I should succeed.

Work on my assignments - I have a couple of assignments coming up (one is due in March, the other in April) and I want to get a head start on them, and avoid the last minute rush I had with my last assignments. The March one is due in on my birthday, so I'm hoping to finish it a week early, so I can relax!

There we go, my goals for February. Fairly doable, I think.

  1. Great goals for February, hope you achieve many if not all of them.

  2. I like how you make goals once a month, instead of once a year, and you evaluate your progress. I also commend you for not beating yourself up if you don't make them, you just evalute them, and then if they're still important you tag them onto the next month.

  8. Best of luck if you do get around to changing your blog about Laura, I too adore the way it is but will understand if you make the change, change is often good. You've done a good job with your goals for January and I know you'll do equally as good for February, just keep at those words and you will catch up, you're doing wonderful.

  11. I found your blog through the A to Z Challenge, hope you don't mind my stopping by.

I like the idea of setting little goals each month, that way you can reevaluate them and see how you're getting on each month. Like little mini resolutions.

By the way, I've nominated you on my blog for the Liebster Award. I hope you don't mind. You can check it out this Tuesday here.
