Weekly Rundown
I've wanted to do a regular blog post like this for a while, and what better time to start than in the new year?
Basically every Wednesday I'll post what I'm up to that week. I've seen a few people post regular "Currently" posts, and this will be a lot like that. I'll update you on my writing, my reading, my goals (monthly and annual) and my life.
This week I'm:
Listening to: Music: The Pitch Perfect 3 Soundtrack. I've seen the film twice in the cinema already (With a friend and my mum, and because it's awesome). The majority of music that I listen to falls into the rock/metal classification, so it's nice to listen to something a little lighter every once in a while.
Audiobook: Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater. I've been listening to this for a couple of weeks now; it hasn't really gripped me yet.
Reading: My lovely new illustrated Harry Potter books; Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (which I finished yesterday) and A History of Magic. I got them for Christmas, and they're up there with my favourite presents.
Watching: I've been re-watching Friends from the start (which is much easier now it's on UK Netflix!) which I do every now and then - it's a great series. I've also just started watching Black Mirror from the start (which is extremely strange but thought provoking) and season 2 of Dirk Gently just came out, but is marred by the fact that it's now been cancelled.
Cooking: From scratch. Now that the festive period is over, I have no excuse! I love cooking from scratch - it's so much healthier and tastier! I made a chilli last night, which is one of my favourite foods at the moment (made better by the fact that I'll be taking some to work today in a flask for lunch), and I'll be having meatballs tonight.
I start at Slimming World tomorrow, so I'll be watching what I eat even more from then. I'm determined to lose the stone I've gained, and just to be healthier in general.
Writing: I'm currently reading through my NaNo draft, so I won't be doing so much writing this week. I'm looking forward to getting it read so I can move onto edits.
Feeling: In need of a holiday! We've been extremely busy at work for the last couple of weeks, so I'm looking forward to my week off at the end of January.
You need a holiday break from the holidays?
