Celebrate the Small Things
Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.
This week I'm celebrating:
- I'm still steaming along with my Camp NaNo writing; I'm halfway through the challenge now, and only 11,000 words left to write to hit my target.
- I went for Afternoon Tea with my mum yesterday, and it was lovely. Of course, neither of us could move once we'd finished!
- I've started cooking meals from scratch, rather than using ready made sauces and things, and I'm really enjoying it! I've always loved baking, but for some reason cooking things from scratch always seemed really daunting. I'm having fun so far, though.
Brave girl you are cooking from scratch. I'd be a disaster. The tea platter looks divine.
ReplyDeleteAfternoon tea is looking cool. . . . . it seems to be on the comeback at present which is good.
ReplyDeleteI love going to tea places. Those little sandwiches and cakes are the best. I've been cooking from scratch like...forever. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteTea time looks so yummy! And yay to your NaNo. You're doing great! As to cooking from scratch, it's my favorite way to go - takes a bit longer but so much better tasting.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, that platter looks delicious. More good luck with Camp NaNo, and have fun with cooking.
ReplyDeleteGod, Entertainment, & Annoying Things
Good work with NaNo! And cooking from scratch is way better for you. You know exactly what goes in everything. Plus, it tastes better. I've recently started making all our bread, and it's so much yummier, and cheaper.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your NANo progress! That's wonderful! It's funny to hear you say you went to a "tea" and ate so much you couldn't move. Perhaps a little less "tea" next time. lol
ReplyDeleteThat tea looks scrumptious! Well done on your writing, sounds like you will hit your target. Happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteThose cakes look lovely. And well done on your writing. It's great when it all comes together. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat selection looks delicious! My hubby cooks in our house, and he's currently making a curry from scratch, and I'm very hungry! The food has a much nicer flavour, in my opinion.
ReplyDeleteCheers to your Nano progress! I both love and hate eating a meal so good that you can't move afterwards.
ReplyDeleteyay for your nano word count! way to go!
ReplyDeleteand cooking from scratch is so healthy - it's great that you like to cook, sadly i do not. ah well. but you've inspired me to reconsider it!
