Celebrate The Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.


This week I'm celebrating:

- I went to see Iron Man 3 on Monday, and it was awesome! Then on Tuesday I watched The Avengers with my mum, since she hasn't seen it before. A good film week :)

- I'm getting somewhere with my dissertation, although it's rather slow moving at the minute. I do have a concrete idea of what I will be doing, and I've started planning it. No doubt I'll do a blog post about it soon, because I'll probably need your help!

    I've been looking forward to seeing Iron Man 3! Hopefully soon, everyone says it's great. A dissertation sounds like hard work, good luck, and have a nice weekend.

    Sad to say on my part... I've never watched any of the Iron Man movies but I really liked Avengers.

    I've only seen Iron Man, just haven't got round to watching the second one. I keep hearing good things about them though so may have to give in and see them.

    I haven't seen Iron Man 3 yet, but I'd like to because I've heard great things about it. The Avengers, of course, is an awesome movie.

    I loved the Avengers but didn't get to see Iron Man 3 yet. My kids and husband really want to go this weekend.

    That's definitely a good film week Laura, I haven't seen any Iron Man films but I loved Iron Man in the Avengers and when I get the chance I'll set aside the time to watch it. Good luck with the dissertation as well, I know you'll do great!

    Took me time to read all the comments, but I really enjoyed the article. It proved to be Very helpful to me and I am sure to all the commenters here! It’s always nice when you can not only be informed, but also entertained! With game sims 4 skill cheats , you can give a striking new look.

The Insecure Writer's Support Group was created by Alex J. Cavanaugh as a place where writers can talk about their insecurities once a month, and receive encouragement and support from other writers. A is for Arachne and Arlee!

Before I get to my Greek Mythology part of this post, at the request of Alex J. Cavanaugh  (great idea by the way, Alex!), I'd first like to thank Arlee Bird for coming up with the challenge in the first place. If it wasn't for him, we wouldn't be taking part in this amazing experience every year. Thanks, Arlee! This is one of my favourite tales from Greek mythology, so naturally I chose it for my first letter. Arachne was the daughter of a shepherd, and was famous for the beautiful tapestries she weaved. Nymphs would travel from all over to see her work, and to watch her weave. One day, a nymph asked her if her talent was a gift from the goddess Athena. Arachne protested, saying her skill was all her own, and that her weaving was better than Athena's. Athena heard of this, and challenged the girl to a weaving contest.
