Goals for June
So, I did pretty well on my goals for May:
-Start the research for my dissertation - I've had a pretty slow month dissertation wise, but I certainly got a lot of research done! I scrapped my original idea completely, so I have a little more research to do for my new idea, but I like it much more.
-Read at least 5 more books - At the beginning of May, I had only read 11 books towards my 50 for the year, and now I'm up to 17, so I achieved this goal.
-Work at least 30 hours a week - Check! I got lots of overtime in this month (I'm only contracted 20 hours)

Let's hope I do as well with this month's goals:
- Plan my dissertation - I'm hoping to write my dissertation in the first two weeks of Camp Nano in July (I'm on holiday for the second two weeks) so I need to get all of the planning done this month. I'm doing short stories, so it'll be tough to plan them all in one month, but not impossible. Besides, my ideas are awesome, so I can't wait!
- Read 5 more books - I shouldn't have too much trouble with this one, since I have a list of books I need to read as research for my dissertation. The great thing about doing a Creative Writing degree is that the dissertation research is all books I love reading!
- Lots of overtime - I managed to save a lot of money last month, so I'm hoping to keep it up this month. Then I can spend July writing my dissertation without having to worry too much about money.
Pretty much the same as May's goals - my life is a little boring at the minute!
Congrats on completing your goals in May! And good luck for the month ahead :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job with all your goals Laura and I can't wait to hear about you doing more and improving even more with your goals. Good luck with the overtime, just keep it up and it will be worth it!
ReplyDeleteWell done!
ReplyDeleteI hear you about the Goodreads Challenge! I'm behind on my reading 100 books goal - I'm up to about 34 or so - but I'm still having fun with it. :)
That is my kind of research. =)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having completed your May goals. May it continue on for June.
The nice thing about repeating goals is that you know it's possible. :-D
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the overtime and planning the dissertation.
I was starting to wonder how you were getting all that reading done. Then I saw you're using it as research for your dissertation. Killing two birds with one stone.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been reading nearly as much as I want and need to this year.
At least your projects are fruitful! My projects are kind of spinning at the moment. :P
