Express Yourself - Movies
The Express Yourself meme is co-hosted by Dani and Jackie. Each week bloggers answer a different question, so they can get to know each other better.
At the cinema:
- Iron Man 3 - I'm a big avengers geek at the minute, and Iron Man is my favourite so of course I loved the film. The humour in it was fantastic, and balanced out the action and emotional side of the movie really well.
- The Host - I'd been looking forward to this since I found out there would be a movie, because I loved the book so much. The movie was great, although there were things missing from the book, but that's to be expected!
At home:
- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part One - I had a migraine on Friday, and the only things I can do when I have one are sleep or watch stuff, so my sister and I decided to watch it. It was awesome, of course! It didn't cure my headache, but it at least distracted me for a little while.
- The Avengers - I told you I was an avengers geek at the minute! I'd seen Iron Man the day before, so I wanted to see The Avengers again.
This week's question is: What are the last two movies you saw?

I haven't been to the cinema in yeas, mainly because I refuse to pay exhorbitant prices. At home my last two movies were Star Trek V and Lost in Space. I know the Star Trek one isn't particularly good, but I'm going through the films in order and found a few things to enjoy in it.
ReplyDeleteThe Avengers is just amazing Laura, I'm such a big Marvel fan and adore the entire universe so I endorse both things although I've actually never seen Iron Man film before! I know it's weird but it's mainly just because I haven't got around to it, by the time the second one was out I didn't want to watch it without seeing the second and vice versa. Despite him being my favourite Avenger from the movie his films are the only ones of the Avengers superheroes that I haven't watched!
ReplyDeleteIt is a very long tome since I went to a cinema, I guess being so rural I need to drive and the nearest decent cinema is about twenty miles away so it never happens.
ReplyDeleteIronically we recently watched Avengers again. In 3D. Just an amazing movie.
ReplyDeleteI never did get around to seeing The Host at the cinema. I'm intrigued to see how they dealt with her conversations with herself in her head. Maybe I'll put it on my rental list.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I had a Harry Potter movie marathon in the week between Christmas and New Year's - so much fun! This past weekend, we watched "Dark Skies" on DVD - good and creepy. :)
ReplyDeleteYou're lucky, I can't do anything when I get migraines!
ReplyDeleteI love the Avengers too! I tried schwarma for the first time recently, and thought of Iron Man.

Aloha Laura,
ReplyDeletehope the headache is better - or the movies get more exciting :)
I also wanted to say thanks very much for stopping by and commenting on my recent D-Day post. (I'm still working through all the comments!)
CSM Ryan's story has received an incredible amount of support and a HUGE *Thank you* goes to DL Hammons - and all the Blitzers :)
PS: Bill said to let everyone know he really appreciated all the personal comments directed his way :)
The last film I watched at the cinema was Identity Thief (which I loved) but can't remember what the one before that was - it's been a while.
ReplyDeleteAt home it was probably Pixar films.
I saw Iron Man 3 on opening day and I LOVED it. I can't wait to see it again. I also loved the Avengers. Guess I'm a geek, too.
ReplyDeleteI've seen all of those movies except The Host. The Avengers was awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've seen all of those mentioned except for "The Host"...not a huge Meyers fan. I'm surprised my wife hasn't wanted to drag me to it yet, though :)
ReplyDeleteThe last thing I saw at the movies was Sightseers, a British comedy about a couple who go on a caravanning holiday and start killing people. At home I watched Ronin again last night as it is one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThe last two movies I seen recently are: Star Trek Into Darkness and Batman Dark Knight Rises.
