Celebrate the Small Things
Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.
This week I'm celebrating:
- I'm all caught up with my dissertation work. My character profiles are done, and so is most of the planning, so I'm all set for Camp NaNo on Monday.
- I've caught up with my Goodreads reading goal - I'm at 25 out of 50 books, so I'm ahead of schedule for the first time so far.
- I've been invited to a Celebration Lunch at work today for working at Asda (our version of Walmart) for 5 years. I'm not entirely convinced this is something to celebrate, but hey, free food!
- The anthology I helped create with my Masters friends has now been published here, which is exciting! It's nice to have a souvenir of my time doing my Creative Writing Masters, other than my assignments.

- Also...3 weeks to Spain! I can't wait :)
Glad you're caught up and ahead of schedule.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool about the anthology. Congratulations. Off to check it out.
Five years of Asda is but a small stepping stone on the road of fame and fortune, or at the very least a few best sellers out in the book shops.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the free food . . .
Congrats on the anthology, and the dissertation and the 5 years *big breath* You've got a lot to celebrate :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job Laura! Sounds like everything is coming together! Hey, free food is always a plus. Awesome job on the publication.
ReplyDeleteYou're having one busy summer! Enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with Camp NaNo!
ReplyDeleteAnd free food is always a good thing to celebrate. =)
Congrats on the anthology you must be so pleased. And free food - it would be rude not too! Have a fun weekend.
ReplyDeleteYay for all your celebrations. I used to work for ASDA, and it wasn't a great place, but sometimes we'd have free food, so that was a bonus! And extra yay for the anthology. I put one together for my writing group and it's great to see your work in print.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a lot to celebrate this week!
ReplyDeleteWell done on finishing up your profiles Laura! Awesome you're going to Spain soon too, really hope that you have a great time and enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteSpain, lucky, lucky you!
ReplyDeleteI can never keep up with the reading goals, not the reading just the posting, need to work on that. But I'm determined to post reviews for all the books I've enjoyed. The authors so deserve it!
Have a great summer!
It's such a good feeling to be caught up and on top of things!
