My A to Z theme!

After many different ideas and different tables of letters and words, I have my final A to Z challenge theme! I have decided to write my posts about...all things Fairy Tales!
I've always loved Fairy tales, and even more so when I did a presentation on them for my Learning through Children's Literature module during my English Literature degree. When doing the research for this presentation, I found out a lot of things I didn't know about fairy tales, like that many of the original versions are very different to the versions we hear about today! But I'll tell you more about that during the challenge!
There's still a few letters that I don't have words for, but hopefully they'll come to me before the days that I need them!
I'm going to really enjoy writing these posts, and I really hope you'll enjoy reading them! And good luck to anyone else that is taking part in the challenge :)

  6. Very true, the original versions could be quite savage. Which was the one where the wicked queen was forced to dance to her death in red hot slippers?

  8. Ohh! I'm so glad that you chose this theme! I'm going to love reading your posts! As part of my degree I took a module on Hans Christian Andersen and loved it! In Oslo I met a group of people who were studying for a degree in Primary Education and they were doing modules in the use of fairy tales in teaching children, it must be interesting!

Are you all ready for the challenge now? :)

    1. There are still a few letters that I don't have words for, and I haven't written any posts in advance, but I'm hoping that I'll come up with the letters I don't have while writing my other posts!

    1. Oh I don't know, it's really hard to come up with certain letters, it would be so much easier if I didn't have a theme, then I could just do anything!

  14. I have always loved fairy tales but you're right about the endings not always being happy.

When I was quite young my parents gave me a beautiful book of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm. It terrified me!! I appreciate the stories much more now that I'm older.

Great post and looking forward to reading the rest of them!
