Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

This week I'm celebrating:

- I finally signed up for Camp NaNo next month - I'm doing quite well with the planning for the novel I want to write, so I decided to bite the bullet and sign up. My word count target is only 25000 though - I'll aim to get more than that written, but I didn't want to aim too high.

- It's Father's Day this weekend here in England, so tonight I'll be baking some goodies to take to my dad when I see him tomorrow. I'll be making him two of his favourites; a Victoria Sponge cake and a Cherry loaf.

- The weather's been lovely this week, the only problem is the pollen count has been really high and my hayfever has come back with a vengeance! It does kind of make me miss colder weather (I'm a winter girl) but it is nice to see the sun shining.

  6. Hope you go way above your word count.
I prefer winter as well. Don't like heat or pollen.

  7. Good luck with NaNo, may the allergies not make you sneeze too much so you can get the word count high, high, high! Enjoy your baking :)

  8. Good luck with the writing. Hope your dad enjoys the tasty treats and your hayfever is a little better.

  9. I'm a winter girl too, and I don't get nearly enough of it in Egypt. I bet your dad will love the yummy things you've cooked for him! I think 25k is very reasonable. Good luck, and have a lovely weekend! :)

  12. I don't know what a cherry loaf is, but I would imagine it's pretty fantastic (I'm biased, cherry is my favorite). Hopefully you had a good father's day. Good luck with Camp NaNo!

I hope the pollen count goes down soon.
