Celebrate the Small Things and Goals for October

It's time to celebrate once again, with this weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.

This week I'm celebrating:

- Feeling refreshed after my break from work and writing. I went back to work yesterday, and I'm getting back into my writing this afternoon by beginning to plan my Halloween stories - that should be fun!

- The beginning of my favourite seasons, autumn and winter, and my favourite holidays. I'm enjoying going for walks at the minute, either at the park near my house or the woods near my boyfriend's house. It's lovely walking through the trees with their brilliantly coloured leaves, relishing the cool air. Lovely :)

- All the motivation and inspiration I'm feeling right now. I feel like I can do anything as long as I try hard enough; I hope this feeling lasts!

Now for my monthly goals. Last month my goals were:

- Hand in my dissertation - Done.

- Read 4 books - I almost achieved this goal - I read three books, nearly a fourth but not quite. I'm now up to 37 books out of the 50 I need to read to achieve my Goodreads goal, so that's pretty good.

- Get started on NaNoWriMo prep - I haven't started this yet - what with going on holiday last week, I didn't really get the chance!

Here are my goals for this month:

- Read 4 books - I should have some time for reading this month, so hopefully I'll achieve this.

- NaNoWriMo prep - I should be starting this next week; I'm spending the weekend working on my Halloween stories.

- Finish my Halloween short stories - I'm really looking forward to working on these, so I'm sure I'll have no problem getting them done.

  14. Sounds like you've had a good week! And your goals sound achievable. I wish I could NaNo this year, but I have a book that's supposed to be coming out toward the end of November or early December, so I think I'll be way too busy. Maybe I'll do my own NaNo in March or something....
