Celebrate the Small Things and the Bloghop of Joy!

So, apologies of the lateness of this post! Yesterday was busier than I expected it to be, as was Thursday when I was hoping to schedule the post. But here it is, finally!

First of all, Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.
Here's what I'm celebrating this week:
- I have my car back, yay! I so missed it last week, I went on a long drive yesterday and it was heavenly!
- I wrote some poetry for my pamphlet, which I put up on my blog and got some very kind comments. Thanks!
- I went to a ball with my sister and her boyfriend last night, and we had a great time.

And now, for the Bloghop of Joy, hosted by Kyra Lennon and Clare Dugmore.

In these cold, winter months, everything can seem kind of ... bleak. However, every now and again, something small will happen that makes us smile again. It could be a random memory, something you see on TV, overhearing something that makes you laugh out loud - just that one thing that makes the clouds part, and the sunshine appear again. We're not talking life-changing moments, just the little things that inexplicably make us smile.

All you have to do to be a part of this happy hop is sign up on the Linky List, and on March 1st, post your list of joy - with a minimum of five things that put a spring back in your step!

Here are a few things that bring me joy:
- A nice cup of tea
- A long drive, with music blaring for me to sing along to.
- A loud music/singing session.
- A cuddle with my lovely dog.
- Curling up and relaxing with a good book
- Getting something done that I've been putting off for a long time.
- Getting in my lovely warm bed at the end of a long day.

Sorry again for the lateness of the post!

  1. I always like seeing posts like this. It makes me think about the small things in my life that bring me joy, too.

    Thanks :)

  2. Congrats on getting your car back! I also enjoy a drive with the music blaring, though I can't do that with kids in the car. A nice cup of tea is also wonderful. I may have to have some tea now.

  9. I definitely agree with the joy of loud music while driving! Also, I am rather partial to a nice cuppa!

    Nice list of joy!

  10. I love loud music when I'm driving. More coffee and cats than tea and dogs, but a good book and a warm bed... not much beats that. :-)

  11. Thanks for taking part in the bloghop; great list. The one thing I miss about not having a dog is doggie cuddles. A cuppa is a great mood lifter. :)

Also, congrats on your accomplishments this week. :D

  13. Congrats on the car's return. You went to a "ball"? Did you hop in a time machine to do that? lol Hope your week is great!

  14. Getting your car back is a celebration!

And the list for joy -- I agree on all of it 100%, especially a warm bed at the end of a long day!

  15. At least you have a car to begin with. I don't think I can afford one on my budget. :(

Things that bring me joy? Waking up and realizing I can go back to being asleep.
