New schedule and seeing uni friends!

I feel like I haven't written a post in ages! It seems a shame to waste what I've learnt on the A to Z challenge, so as of today I'm enforcing a schedule on my blog: I will post on Mondays and Thursdays. I'm hoping this will help me to post more regularly, and if it goes well I might even add an extra day on. Of course, this depends on how well I stick to the schedule, and whether or not I run out of things to write about!
In my experience, if I write a schedule for myself I tend to stick to it pretty well, it certainly worked when I was at university. I did an English Literature degree, and to conquer all of the reading I had to do, I had a schedule to read 50 pages a day, which worked really well! So as well as doing a blog schedule for myself, I've also done a schedule that involves all of the other things that I love doing but don't spend enough time on: teaching myself to play the piano, writing articles for the magazine I volunteer at, and creative writing.

I've been quite busy this last week (hence no blog posts!) mainly decorating my bedroom, but on Saturday I went to see some of my friends from university, who I haven't seen since last August! We struggle finding times to see each other because we all work different days, but we got together on Saturday to throw a surprise baby shower for one of our friends. It was an excellent day, the sun even stayed out all day, and it was a lot warmer than any of us anticipated! In fact, two of my friends even got sunburnt, and here I was worrying that it would rain! We had a barbecue, and then played some games in the garden, such as Articulate, which is a game that we always used to play in the common room at uni, so it brought up some nice memories! We then played Personal Preference, which is always fun, but time flew by so quickly that before we knew it, it was time for people to get the train back home, or in my case drive.

I wish the day could have lasted longer, because I really do miss my uni friends a lot! Luckily we're organising more events in the coming months, so I should see them again very soon.
I'm leaving it at that for today, because my copy of Diablo 3 came in the post today, and I'm going to spend the afternoon playing it! If my schedule plan works out, you should expect another post on Thursday! :)

    1. They're really fun, Articulate is where you have to explain a word without saying it and your team-mates have to guess it, and Personal Preference is where people guess what your personal preference is out of 4 things :)

  3. Sounds like you had a great time!

  4. I am the same as you, if I don't have some kind of schedule I really don't get much done at all. The only problem is I continually fill it until it's entirely unmanageable. Then I have to start all over again! I need to work on prioritising ...

  5. I can see myself doing that, I used to do it with my uni timetable! I'm hoping I don't do it this time! :)

  6. Good luck with your schedule! Now my uni stuff is getting out of the way, I'm thinking of starting one too.

    1. Thanks! I was actually thinking how bare my schedule looked, there doesn't seem to be much on it! But I'll probably think differently when I actually start it...

  8. I wish I was as driven and self-disciplined as you!

The sunburn's not so bad now :P
