Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

This week I'm celebrating:

- Having a week off work! I've spent the week on holiday at Centerparcs with Jamie, my sister Katie and her fiance Lewis. It's been a great week.

- I've tried a lot of new things this week, paint-balling and quad biking being the biggest two. I've got some massive bruises now, but it was worth it! I also took part in some old favourites, like going to the spa with Katie, and lots of swimming. I finished two books and got halfway through a third, so it was a good week for reading, too.

- My mum looked after my house (and my cat) while I was away, and when I got back today I discovered that she's spent the week tidying and improving my house - I now have a bookshelf for the many stacks of books that were dotted around, a coffee table in my living room and a mirror much bigger and better than the tiny one in the bathroom I've been using since we moved in (over a year ago!). I have the best mum, ever.

  9. That sounds so lovely from your actual holiday to your return home and your revamped home courtesy of your wonderful mum :) I also used to have a neighbour who was a wonderful handy man and would often repair any little things like a dripping tap when he looked after our cats and home when we were on holiday.
