Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

I only just realised I missed the last two weeks of this, my bad! I did have a good reason last week, though; unfortunately we lost one of our cats, Pookie. She'd been ill for a while, and last Friday morning she died. So, I wasn't really in the mood to celebrate!

This week I'm celebrating:

- that Pookie isn't suffering any more, and that my other cat, Misty, is healthy.

- that in a week's time all this craziness will be over! Christmas week is so hard when you work in retail.

Comments

  1. I'm sorry to hear about your cat. It's hard losing an animal you love. Good luck surviving the week! I remember working retail, and the week before Christmas is always a tough one.

  3. So sorry about Pookie Laura. But I'm glad Misty is fine and she'll keep your spirits up. Pets really are like children to us. Hope you can rest soon and enjoy Christmas and New Year's.

  5. So sorry for your loss. You'll see Pookie again, I truly believe that. They are the angels that keep us sane here on earth.

  6. That is sad we have lost cats in the past and it is not easy. I always say no more cats but then a stray or rescue cat needs a home and we get all attached to the little critter again. All you can do is give them loads of love and a good home and hope they have the best life they can. We had seven at one point, but just the two at present including the worlds grumpiest cat . . . .

  7. So sorry to hear you lost a pet, but it's comforting to know that it's no longer suffering. I can't imagine how hectic it must be for retail right now. Hang in there!
