Celebrate the Small Things
Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop hosted by Viklit over at Scribblings of an Aspiring Author. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week.
This week I'm celebrating:
- Freedom! I handed my dissertation in on Monday, which I've been working on since May, so that's a nice weight off my shoulders! It's so nice to be able to get home from work and be able to relax and do nothing without feeling guilty about writing going undone. Due to this, I've spent a lot of time playing The Sims 3 and reading Harry Potter this week!
- I watched The Perks of Being a Wallflower on Monday, and I loved it; it really wasn't what I was expecting. I'm definitely going to get the book as soon as I can afford it.
- The weather's getting nice and chilly, so I'm really starting to get excited for autumn and winter. They're my absolute favourite seasons :)
P. S. Happy Friday 13th!
It is Friday the 13th, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteYes, bring on the cold weather!
Glad you have nice things to celebrate, Laura! Wish I loved the Winter, but I don't. The cold weather is no fun for us. It's when I really miss the Winters in FL.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend and congrats on your dissertation.
It's the rain and fog I'm not so keen on, its like that here today! Glad you are enjoying a little freedom and relaxation. Have a great weekend, Laura.
ReplyDeleteThat must have been such a thrilling feeling to turn in that dissertation! Yay!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's getting cooler here too and I'm so happy. Looking forward to enjoying the cool weather this weekend. have a good one! :)
I Loved The Perks of Being A Wallflower, both the novel and the film.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite season. I love being able to wear my sweaters again.
Bring on the chunky jumpers. If you like a nice feel-good film, try 'Son of Rambow'. No, really.
ReplyDeleteI have to watch the movie AND read the book, it looks really awesome.
ReplyDeleteYay for handing in the dissertation and for reading Harry Potter :D
Glad you're enjoying your freedom and feeling excited about Autumn and Winter. Personally I'm looking forward to free days where I wake up and it's bitterly cold and then putting the heating on and just feeling myself and the house warming up, absolutely perfect.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on handing in your thesis! Definitely enjoy the time you have off now before something else jumps in to take its place.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it yet either, but it's my daughter's favorite book, so much so, she won't watch the movie, she's afraid the movie will spoil it.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday the 13th!
ReplyDeleteI love Autumn, too! :D
Paycheques are finally rolling in. The money feels so good.
ReplyDeleteYou sound happy, WELL COOL . . . . .
ReplyDeleteFreedom is wonderful, especially as a reward after months of hard work! Enjoy and happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhoopie!! Congrats to you! I'm sure you had your way of celebrating. :) Yes, I'm still hoping the sun will come out today! If not, it'll be the first all day overcast day we've had in a while. Going to SF tomorrow. It would be good to have sun then. (As you can tell, I'm not one to get too excited by fall & winter!) ReplyDeleteI love the Fall weather too. Sadly, there's not much of it here in South Florida.
