I've been tagged!

So I was tagged in this post by Jeremy from Geeky Tendencies which means I have to answer the following 10 questions. (By the way, thanks for tagging me, Jeremy!) I'm also supposed to tag 7 other people into it for them to answer the questions too, but I don't know enough people on here yet, so if you read this and want to participate, consider yourself tagged by me, and please let me know in my comments that you've done it. :)
1. What is your dream vacation?
I really want to go to Egypt and see all the pyramids and the Valley of the Kings and everything, I've always loved learning about the ancient Egyptians and things like that, so I think it would be a really fun holiday :)

2. Are you spontaneous or do you like to plan ahead?
I like to plan, I'm really not very good with spontaneity. Whenever I try to be spontaneous it just backfires on me, so I prefer to plan everything, I have numerous lists on my computer of things I need to do and even timetables telling me which days I need to do them!

3. Tell us one thing you want to do but don't dare do it.
Really struggling to think of anything for this one. Probably because I'm a pretty big wimp so there's about a thousand things I want to do but don't dare to. I'd like to be more outspoken - I keep far too many things bottled up, mainly due to my fear of being disliked.

4. What's your biggest phobia?
I have a very irrational fear of spiders - I can't go anywhere near them, so if there's one in my kitchen I'd rather go the day without eating or drinking than trying to get around it - I know, crazy!

5. If you were stranded on a desert island-what three things would you want with you? (Not including your laptop or family)
I would definitely want a really long book to read, because I imagine I'd get bored, so something like one of the Harry Potter's, Game of Thrones or Lord of the Rings. A blanket for comfort. And maybe a notepad, so I could write. (Hopefully the pen's included!)
6. Name three blessings in your life.
My family, my friends, and my health.
7. What was your nickname in High School?
Queen of the year 9's, because I hung around with my little sister and all of her friends in year 9 when I was in year 10! I was very quiet in school, so I was probably known as "that quiet girl" or "who?" by the people in my year!

8. If you could meet the President of the United States, what would you say to him?
I really don't know! I'd probably either get tongue-tied and not say anything or blabber on about something completely stupid. Plus, I'm from England, so I really wouldn't have all that much to say anyway.

9. If you could be any literary character, who would you be?
Probably Hermione from Harry Potter, because she's so smart, and I'd love to be that smart! Also, she's a witch, which I imagine would be a lot of fun.

10. What is your favorite quote?
I don't really have a favourite "real" quote, all of my favourite quotes are from books or movies.

    Great post and beautiful back drop. Did you paint it?

      Thanks, it's actually one of the default ones, if I'd painted it it would probably look awful!
      That's fine with me, it seemed like a good solution for me so I don't mind other people doing it too :)

    Alot of these answers would totally be my answers, its spooky. My dream holiday would be going to Egypt to see the pyramids, would just be amazing! I'd also love to go to Rome or Athens (not in its current crazy state!). I hate spiders, even little mini ones and I am also the biggest wimp on the planet, I'm too scared to do anything slightly crazy! And if I was stranded on an island The Lord of the Rings would be my book of choice! :)

So I actually wrote this piece for April's WEP, but I was ill so didn't get to post it in the end. I'm quite glad, as it suits this month's theme so much more. IWSG - July 2018

The Insecure Writer's Support Group is a group of writer's who post once a month about their insecurities, and then visit each other to offer help and support. It's been a long time since I last posted, back in April. I really can't believe it's July already; this year so far seems like it's been both really short and really long. There are a few reasons why I've been absent for so long; I've had a few health issues, nothing serious but it's been one illness after another this year. Then I was in a car accident in May, thankfully Jamie and I came out unhurt, but the car spent a month getting repaired. We've also been house hunting this year, we found two houses we really wanted but unfortunately both fell through.  So, overall, it's been a bit of a rough year, and because of this I haven't got much writing done. The Beginnings Blogfest!

Today's the day of the Beginning's Blogfest , L. G. Keltner 's first blogfest! I love the idea for this one, and knew what I was going to write about straight away. I want to write about the beginning of my writing journey. A year ago, I had no direction. I had no blog, I didn't write, all I did was work and play games. I had no motivation because I didn't know what I wanted to do. I had wanted to be a teacher, but after two failed PGCE interviews I was losing faith in the idea - maybe teaching wasn't what I was supposed to be doing. Then, last January, an idea struck me, seemingly out of nowhere. What if I tried to get into Journalism? I was good at writing, spelling, and editing, and I thought I would enjoy it. So I looked into it, and decided that it sounded like something I would want to do.
