Celebrate the Small Things

Celebrate the Small Things is a weekly bloghop now hosted by Lexa Cain. The idea is to post anything you want to celebrate from the last week, no matter how small.

This week I'm celebrating:

- So I got this book for Christmas (it's awesome, some of the prompts are hilarious). I haven't really had that much time to sit down with it (or motivation) but last night while I was waiting for my dinner to cook, I decided to try out some of the prompts. I filled the first page in about 5 minutes, and it felt so good! I haven't written properly in months, and even though this was just light writing using a few prompts, it really made me happy. I've missed writing, and I feel this was a great step to help me ease back in.

- I bought The Sims 4: Outdoor Retreat last week and I've been enjoying playing it in my spare time. Sometimes it's nice just to sit back and play a game!

- I've also been watching How I Met Your Mother from the beginning again. (I like to pretend that last episode never happened). I'm enjoying getting to know the characters again.

- We had the tiniest bit of snow last Sunday, but it was the first snow I've seen in a couple of years so that was nice.

  5. Sounds like a cool writing book. As far as the snow goes, could I send you what we're supposed to get between tonight and Monday? I've had plenty this winter already.

  6. Congrats on reading fun prompts that jump-started your writing. Keep it up! I haven't had time to play computer games in a long while. The most I do is play some Spider Solitaire or Mah Jong before going to bed - and I always lose! Waaaa! :( Yay for a dusting of snow and re-watching HIMYM! Have a wonderful weekend!

  10. And here I've never watched a single episode of How I Met Your Mother... but I do game when I want to take a break from writing.

Also, I love light writing exercises. I find that it's a great way to get back into the swing of writing when I'm stuck.

  11. I was late to the HIMYM party,so had to go back to the begnning after I'd watched the end. It seems to be on TV all the time (along with the inferior Rules Of Engagement), and it's a bit of a guilty pleasure.

  12. I just realised I completely forgot to watch the end of HIMYM. Presumably Ted meets the kids' mother?
