Express Yourself

The Express Yourself meme is co-hosted by Dani and Jackie. Each week bloggers must answer a different question, so they can get to know each other.

This week's question is:

What are you reading right now? It can be anything.

I tend to read two books at once; one on my Kindle, and one paperback. I'm trying to get through as many as possible, since I'm not doing very well on my Goodreads challenge to read 50 books this year. I'm about 4 books behind, so I need to get reading!

On my Kindle, I'm reading Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. It's been on my Kindle for a while, but I've only just got around to reading it. I'm only 10% through, so it hasn't really gripped me yet, but the premise seems interesting.

The paperback I'm reading is actually Japanese Manga, my favourite series: Fullmetal Alchemist, by Hiromu Arakawa. My boyfriend got me the first four volumes for Christmas, and I've only just got around to reading them. I've read part of the Manga before, but it was over the internet so it's quite exciting to have a paperback version. I doubt it will take me long to read!

  4. I'm sure you'll catch up with your reading soon, Laura. I like reading children's books, probably because I write them as well. I was very blessed to have won "That Baby Woke me up AGAIN!", by Sherry Ellis. It's such an adorable story and the illustrations are just perfect. Sherry is my favorite children's author.

  7. FMA was pretty good as a manga but I didn't care for the anime at all.
